Ljubljana vibrant capital of Slovenia, Lake Bled, Julian Alps, Bohinj Seven Triglav Lakes, Soča Valley, Mangart, Kozjak Waterfall, Kobarid and wine region Goriska Brda.
In the morning we set off towards Lake Bohinj where we begin our trekking through the Triglav National Park.
We will pass by the endearing alpine pastures up to a mountain hut below Mount Triglav, the highest Slovenian mountain. For those hikers who would like to hike some more, there will be the option to climb a 2000-meter peak with incredible views of the Julian Alps (extra 1 hour).

Hiking: 10 km / elevation +900 m, -250 m/ approx. 6 hours
Today, the most challenging day, begins as we move on, enjoying more of the lovely alpine scenery.
There will again be an option to ascend a further 250 metres of an additional peak (approx. 1 hour). We will then descend the Valley of the Seven Lakes and learn something of the geological history of the landscape - and possibly find some fossils in the rocks.We will spend a comfortable night beside one of the lakes.
Accommodation and dinner in mountain hut in rooms 1/4, 1/6 and 1/10.
Hike: 14km / elevation +700m, -750m / approx. 7 hours
Slowly we will leave the highest peaks behind and enter the land of the Alpine pastures.
We will try some home-made local products and have a delicious traditional lunch. We will explore the stunning Lake Bohinj and treat ourselves to an unforgettable swim in its crystal clear waters.

Hiking: 10 km / elevation +200 m, -800 m / approx. 4 hours
This day’s first stop is the magical Lake Bled.
We will have the time to visit the island, walk up to a stunning viewpoint or just relax on the lakeside and bathe.
On our way northwest we will walk under the fascinating Peričnik Waterfall and drive up the winding road to the impressive mountain pass Vrsič in the centre of the Julian Alps.
There we will do another hike to a summit with spectacular view on high limestone walls all around us.

Hiking: 10 km / elevation +650 m, -650 m / approx. 4-5 hours (split into 3 different hikes)
After climbing the awe-inspiring Mt. Mangart on the border of Slovenia and Italy, this spectacular hike provides unforgettable views of three countries. Following lunch, we will seek out the waterfalls and hidden corners of the Soča Valley.

Hike: 8km / elevation +650m, -650m / approx. 5 hours
We will move southward to visit the historic town of Kobarid and learn about tragic WWI events in the region.
After a beautiful walk by the Soča river and a nice local lunch we continue to the wine region of Goriška Brda to enjoy the Mediterranean landscape, taste some delicious local products and of course delightful wine.
There will be a great farewell dinner in the evening.

After breakfast we will return to Ljubljana.

We will continue to Karst region and the Coast to complete the tour with a swim in the Adriatic sea. We will go underground and walk through the stunning canyon of Skocjan Caves, a Unesco heritage. We will visit the vineyards of Karst and taste the excellent local food and wine. In the afternoon, we will continue to the coast to explore the most picturesque coastal town of Piran, get lost among its narrow streets and squares and enjoy the evening on the Adriatic coast. The guide will finish the tour in the evening in Piran and will then return by van to Ljubljana.
You can stay an extra night either in Piran or Ljubljana, depending on your onward travel plans.

The van is always available to the group throughout the itinerary. In case of bad weather, when we cannot make the 3-day hut-to-hut hike, we will move by van to other places and will make other hikes less conditioned by the weather. To keep the same price of the tour we will stay two nights in mountain huts which are reachable by the van.
